Sweet deal: Sugar & Partners adds New Zealand Natural to its roster

Sugar & Partners has announced a new communications partnership with New Zealand Natural.

The agency’s managing partner Jeremy Johnston says the ice cream brand is one of New Zealand’s great export success stories. In Februrary, New Zealand Natural owner Emerald Foods announced it was launching into China.

“Not only is this a tremendously exciting brief, they had us at ‘churros’, which is insanely delicious.”

Sugar & Partners has commenced strategic planning for a new brand and communication platform in time for a summer campaign.

The appointment follows the departure of executive creative director Damon O’Leary and creative director Dave Nash from the agency.

Earlier this month, StopPress reported the pair were moving on to work on new opportunities together. They said it was of their own volition despite Johnston suggesting it was due to a change in the agency’s model.
