Viva gives the old New Zealand Herald office a stylish send-off

There was nothing particularly fashionable about the New Zealand Herald’s old office in Albert St—until now.

The faux marble bathrooms, cubicle desks and grim Eastern Bloc-style surrounds made the perfect backdrop for a Viva shoot featuring some of the latest New Zealand fashions.

The shoot by Guy Coombes celebrates the Herald’s departure from its home of the last 152 years, a record length for any business in the CBD.

  • Check out our interview with NZME’s Jane Hastings here to see what it’s up to in its new building that has brought together all of its media assets.

Next year, the building will be demolished and property owner Mansons TCLM will begin works on a $675 million, 30 level office block, 125 room hotel and shops.
