BestMate shuffles back into view in new Vodafone TVCs

Vodafone
may be seeking to acquire a new branch of business with Telstra
Clear, but DraftFCB’s latest TVCs for the Telco revisits BestMate, an old
product favourite that, although popular, hasn’t received much promotional love
as of late.

Traditionally
reserved for mobile to mobile connections, BestMate is expanding its offering
to also include 1000 landline minutes and to illustrate the expansion,
DraftFCB went about hiring the best shoes in the acting business.

Why
shoes? DraftFCB’s group executive creative director of Australasia, James Mok, says:

“Your
best mate is different to my best mate but we can all get the personalities of
people’s shoes. Besides that, it’s good fun.”
