The Onyas have 11 categories, focusing on web application as well as design and content. The awards are produced by the good folk at Webstock, who help people improve their websites with blogs, talks and other events.

Webstock has chosen nine industry whizzes to judge the entries. Get their vital stats and your entry form on the Onya website.

Entries close in November and the awards will be held on 19 February 2010. You gotta be in to win.

At the award ceremony in Wellington last month, Best Business Application went to Xero for its online accounting system, Best Education Product or Service Award was won by digital content directory Digital NZ and the Societal Impact Award went to the government’s website for depression awareness, thelowdown.co.nz.

But there were no finalists for the Internet Entrepreneur of the Year as the category didn’t attract enough talent. What? C’mon you web-venturers, pull your socks up and get your 2010 application at the Liz Dengate Thrush Foundation.
