BNZ completes its agency equation with Mediacom

When SparkPHD swapped BNZ for ANZ after a regional realignment in February, BNZ went hunting for a replacement. And, after announcing Colenso as its new creative agency, it has rounded out the new family by naming Mediacom as its media planning and buying agency.

“Mediacom demonstrated great creativity and insight and, importantly, passion for our business,” says BNZ chief marketing officer Craig Herbison. “We’re excited to be working with such a talented team which is a good overall strategic fit for the bank.”

BNZ, which spent around $10 million on advertising last year according to Nielsen AIS figures, will transition to Mediacom at the end of the month.

Mediacom had a good year in 2011, including winning B&T’s overall agency of the year title in Australia and the Media Agency Network of the Year award for the third consecutive year at the M&M International Awards.

In New Zealand it was behind the placement of media for the Z launch and also took the Revlon account off DraftFCB last year.
