Chips on his shoulder

As Jon Bon Jovi knows, going out in a blaze of glory is always the best way. And Arch West, the man who founded Doritos, is doing just that for his funeral, as a full-page—and slightly macabre—print ad that featured in the Herald attests. 

While there’s no doubt it’s a fairly unique funeral request, it’s certainly in keeping with the strange tone of the brand’s recent advertising (see herehere and especially here). And, as an added bonus, at least his remains are likely to be well-preserved.

“He would think it is hilarious,” his daughter Jana Hacker told Reuters. “The cemetery does not mind because they are biodegradable.”
