There have been a few savvy campaigns capitalising on the RWC without breaking the rules around sponsorship recently. And there have also been a few campaigns trying to capitalise on the own goals scored by adidas and Telecom. This ‘interactive’ print ad for Tuatara beer by Y&R Wellington cleverly combines the two. “Outrageous prices for replica All Blacks jerseys have seen sportswear giant Adidas, publicly scolded by the Prime Minister, ex-All Backs, retailers, and most significantly, the fans. What if Tuatara Breweries had the solution? Cheekily, we created a cheaper version of the All Black jersey in the New Zealand Herald. Available to the masses and affordable at $2, we’re ensuring New Zealand will back black while still having the cash to drink good beer too. Simply cut and fold.

Not too good in the rain though.
