Strategy design’s Best Awards celebrations get completely out of hand
After clocking up 11 finalist nominations for the 2010 Best Design awards, the staff from Strategy design and advertising in Christchurch celebrated in the appropriate fashion on Friday night. But they didn’t expect to come back to such a mess on Monday.
Fortunately, says Geoff Cranko, managing partner at Strategy, there were only sore heads and no injuries among the staff following the obviously raucous “7.1 on the richter scale celebrations” (only a small part of the office destruction was as a result of the shuddering Canterbury earth).
“We appreciate all concerned enquiries and will be fully operational by Tuesday morning. Donations to restock the bar will be gratefully accepted.”

This story smells like a cheap PR stunt to me. Cashing in on the Quake for some free press, shameful.
