Breaking news: Jason Paris, the TVNZ marketing director, has announced he’s leaving TVNZ – for TV3. In an email to “commercial partners” TVNZ says:

“He has accepted the position of Chief Executive of TVWorks, the owners and operators of TV3 and C4.

We are all delighted for him, but are obviously very sad to lose him as our Head of Strategy, Marketing and Digital Media.”

In an internal email sent to TVNZ staff, chief executive Rick Ellis says:

“This is a huge opportunity for Jason and we all wish him well in the challenges he has before him.

“In the almost four years he has worked with me he has proved to be an incredibly capable executive who has added enormous value to our business. We see it as a compliment that MediaWorks thinks so highly of our executive talent.”

In other changes, MediaWorks has revamped its management structure, with several new key appointments, including Sussan Turner to the position of Group Managing Director for TV3, C4, 10 radio networks and brands, and the company’s VOD and on-line business.

She will be replaced as RadioWorks CEO by Belinda Mulgrew.
