Modica Group has appointed Jono Tucker, previously business development manager/account manager at leading mobile marketing company Run the Red, to the position of senior account manager.

Tucker, who started out with Telecom, has many years experience as a mobile marketing specialist and has worked closely with a range of high profile advertising agencies and businesses on their mobile campaigns, including Vodafone’s Sports and Music sponsorship work.

More recently he worked with KHF Media and TVNZ on Reservoir Hill, a cutting-edge, online youth drama that used mobiles to engage with viewers (they were able to text in and inform the plot). Tucker, who will be based in Modica’s Wellington office, also has considerable experience with mobile websites, including Big Little City, Sorted.org.nz and the RNZAF.

His focus will be on expanding his knowledge of digital campaigns to include website development, hosting and social media to complement Modica’s integrated range of solutions.
