Nick Baylis has left the building. Others come in to take his place.
Nick Baylis, chief executive of M&C Saatchi New Zealand, is now Nick Baylis, former chief executive of M&C Saatchi New Zealand.
He says the decision was formalised this morning.
Asked for the reasons behind his departure he says: ”I don’t really want to comment. You’ll have to talk to someone [at M&C Saatchi] about it . . . I’ve moved on.”
Baylis, who worked there for four years, says he had no plans to move to another agency at this early stage.
“It just happened this week, so nothing’s on the agenda.”
StopPress has called M&C Saatchi and is waiting for its response.
According to Campaign Brief, Simon Smith, M&C Saatchi’s ‘Head of Ideas’, also joined Baylis in the departure lounge. He was hired just two months ago to replace former ECD Todd Waldron.
It seems M&C Saatchi stormed the AIM Proximity castle for replacements and collected CEO Darryn Melrose, ECD Dave King and planning director Tony Burt.
Melrose could not be reached for comment.
