In Auckland, the launch was hyped in conjunction with Absolut Collaboration, a virtual exhibition housed in an inflatable cube in Ponsonby’s Western Park last weekend. The exhibit included word art by Cut Collective, skin art, film, photography, jewellery, sculpture and design. The cube, VIPs and Absolut cocktails have come and gone but the giant letters painted by Cut Collective are now on auction on TradeMe.

Samoa2Each letter is around six feet tall, and the original original fonts were created by typographer Brogan Averill.

The auctions close next Thursday 29 October. All profits raised with go to the NZ Red Cross Samoa Tsunami Relief Fund.
