Auto Salon Cover
Good news for petrolheads—Auto Salon magazine will launch in New Zealand in October. Privately owned Adrenalin Publishing has licensed the rights from across the ditch to produce the Kiwi version, combining Aussie, international and local content.

Adrenalin has somewhat hogged the motoring sector—its stable of seven includes NZ4WD, New Zealand Company Vehicle and Motor Equipment News. (But not to be pigeonholed, they also produce a mag for beauty therapists).

In a useful test for the market, three annual Auto Salon shows in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch have attracted around 30,000 people each year. So there’s a definite market for their target of 18- to 34-year-old males who get their kicks from modifying cars and driving them like demons. Or just dreaming about it. Judging by this cover, Kiwi blokes may get more than they can handle.
