Who’s the favourite child? Prime and FCB use Facebook data to try and answer that question

After a few seasons with MediaWorks, Sky managed to grab the rights to one of the best shows on television, Modern Family. And to promote the launch of the politically incorrect show on its free-to-air station Prime, FCB has created a Facebook app that claims to detect favourite children.

As the blurb goes: “The Favourite Child Detector analyses your parent’s Facebook behaviour, including ‘likes’, tags, comments and photos to determine which child they favour … The device can test almost anyone: your friends, colleagues, even your dog (remember these are Modern Families we’re talking about).”

You can set yourself as the parent, or compete against siblings (of course, accuracy relies on parents actually being on Facebook). And, as you’d expect, it allows users to share the results. There are online banners and some sponsored Facebook posts but the app is the lead activity.

And while this is all about favourite children, check out this spot for Peanut Butter Cheerios featuring an awesome dad.
