You can never take my Freeman!

There’s been plenty of sadness at the passing of Nelson Mandela. And plenty of coat-tail riding by corporations, like South African energy drink company Turbovite, which is feeling the social media burn after its heartfelt tribute/plea for likes mistakenly used a picture of Morgan Freeman. 

As the Condescending Corporate brand page says: 

Here’s 95 condescending points for Turbovite. Well deserved too…

✔ Desperation for likes
✔ A corporate eulogy that sounds a bit empty coming from a brand
✔ Not knowing who Nelson Mandela actually is

Take a bow guys. Morgan Freeman isn’t actually dead but a good effort that’s very much appreciated here at CCBP towers.

And it seems Turbovite wasn’t alone in its confusion
