Damon Stapleton faces a fiery interview

DDB chief creative officer Damon Stapleton recently faced one of the tougher interviews of his career while in Cannes.

Invited under the auspices of a standard interview with Google creative leads Vix Berthinussen and Ross Jauncey, Stapleton found himself facing a plate of chicken nuggets doused in hot sauce.

Over the course of the questioning, Stapleton moves through varying degrees of the Scoville scale, torturing his taste buds with the range of sauces on offer.

Between the desperate sips of water and pained expressions, Stapleton also makes some interesting points as he addresses a wide range of issues, including the changes at Cannes, what creativity means in 2017 and the focus on channels rather than ideas.
